Ganesh Koramannil is an academician turned entrepreneur. iQuery, questing the prevalent student recruitment and mobility model, was established in 2018, informed by his research, teaching, and personal experiences. His teaching and research experiences include working at Charles Darwin University, and he has worked in the areas of ESL, TESOL, Linguistics, Literacy and English Literature for over 20 years. He has also worked in various parts of India and Australia. Over the last decade, he has worked mostly in the Northern Territory.
Ganesh has teaching experience in Higher Education, Vocational, ELICOS and High School sectors and examiner. His areas of interest include education, languages, cultural studies, Indigenous knowledges, English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD), English for Academic purposes in Higher Education, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy, Education Policy, ESL/TESOL Curriculum and Pedagogy, Ethnic minorities, and access to higher education.
His research has had the perspective of an inquirer from an ESL background and his doctoral work examined the impact of English language proficiency on Indigenous students from EALD backgrounds in accessing university education. His master’s thesis on the social perspectives of English education in India during the British Raj was awarded a High Distinction. His background as an ESL student, ESL educator, Cambridge ESOL Examiner, and his teaching practices in Higher Education, extensively influences his research interests.
Entrepreneurship
He established iQuery Australia in 2018 to address the problems of international students in Australia and it has since evolved as a pioneer in international student mobility and transnational educational partnerships.
Today iQuery represents over a dozen Australian institutions in higher, vocational, ELICOS and school education sectors along with 75% of New Zealand universities and polytechnics under Te Pukenga. iQuery currently works in the Indian sub-continent, East Africa, and GCC countries.

Dr Ganesh Koramannil and iQuery are interested in quality and sustainable student recruitment channels including through strategic TNE partnerships, and long-term institutional relationships including school engagement programs, career immersion, and short-term mobility opportunities.
