It is important to understand that a large number of students who processed through us have been able to get one scholarship or the other.
You might be interested in looking at the possible scholarships you could apply for if you choose to study in Australia or New Zealand.
In Australia there are several types of scholarships available. One of the most preferred scholarships is International merit scholarships offered by the universities to its international students, which is purely based on merit. So Universities might consider your grade point average or the percentage and if you meet the threshold for scholarship you are offered a scholarship along with a place of offer to study.
This scholarship may be around 5 % and in some cases around 30% of the tuition fee which could be about 10,000 to 15,000 dollars a year.
Generally these scholarships run throughout the duration of the course. For example if you are going for a 4 year Bachelor’s degree in engineering, you will get the scholarship across the four years of study.
Besides it are the other scholarships installed by the Government. One of the premium scholarships available for international students in Australia the “ Australian Awards”. They are highly competitive but extremely generous.
Australian Award scholarships cover the whole tuition fee and it also provides living expense stipend around 25,000 to 30,000 dollars tax free.
These scholarships are awarded usually or mostly for research students. So getting an Australian Award scholarship at undergraduate level may not be possible.
We have a third category of scholarship from the government called the “Destination Australia Scholarship”. As the name says, these scholarships are based on the destination the student chooses to study at. These scholarships are aimed to attract the best brains from across the world to study at the regional parts of Australia and as a result you could find the scholarship available in one campus of the university but not the other.
For example, if a university has a campus in Melbourne and perhaps in a regional part of Australia like the Victoria or any other state, you could find the “Destination Australia scholarship” available in the regional campus and not in the Melbourne campus or Sydney campus as a matter.
They have a scholarship of 15,000 dollars annually paid for the duration of your studies.
In addition to this you could also have scholarships installed by faculties and the most meritorious student could also get the Vice Chancellors award.
We also come across temporary scholarship for a particular period of time. For example, soon after pandemic we had the relocation scholarship offered to every student.
Generally, these short-term scholarships are available to a larger number of student and the amount of scholarship will be much smaller. So, for example we can offer travel bursaries worth a couple of thousand dollars to help you cover your travel basically to the university.
There are specific scholarships for students from designated countries and regions. Some institutions also offer progressive scholarships as in you would get your scholarship in your second year of study. This is to encourage students to stay focussed to their studies and complete the course in time.
One of the latest scholarships available to students considering Australia as a destination would be the Western Australian Premier’s scholarship.
This is for students who complete their Senior Higher Secondary education outside Australia at an Australian International School. So when you study Australian education system in India you will be eligible for these scholarships.
There are two types of scholarships in this, if you complete a Western Australian Certificate of Education in a country other than Australia at a Western Australian School, you will be eligible for 10 merit scholarships worth a whopping 50,000 dollars each and this is in addition to any other scholarship you might be eligible for.
The second set of scholarships are merit-based bursary scholarship and in this case as well you need to choose to study in Western Australian University and the criteria is the same as that of the Premier Scholarship, you need to study your Senior Secondary at a Western Australian School outside Australia and you must choose to study at a Western Australian University.
The top 10 students coming to Australia after completing Western Australian Curriculum from outside Australia will be eligible for the 50,000-dollar scholarship each and another 20,000 dollar each are awarded for 50 students.
You can apply for 20,000-dollar scholarship based on your merits or based in our leadership qualities.
However, getting two government scholarships will not be possible at the same time. So if you avail the 50000 scholarship, obviously you may not be eligibkle for the 20,000 worth scholarship.
